Annual Fall Colors Harvest Festival

The largest regular event each year at the Flying J Farm is the Annual Fall Colors Harvest Festival. The objective of this event is to celebrate the growing season and the to thank customers, volunteers and friends for support during the season. We usually have educational talks and demonstrations, food, fun activities for children and adults.

This year the date is Saturday, October 8. Gate opens at 12:00 and the event goes until 8:00 PM. Brian Gardener will be here to talk about the results of his research on the farm concerning soil nutrition. Zach will be here to lead people on a walk searching for edible wild plants. We will prepare smoked brisket and you are welcome to bring a side dish. We will do all of the activities at the cabin by the lake so canoeing, kayaking, standupwater boarding will be available as well. Everyone is welcome, children are encouraged, pets are not. Thank you.
